  1. @redheadedmovies Toronto is a city that is missing an identity. It is good at being many things but not great at being anything (it’s trying to emulate NYC’s scene, but it can’t measure up and should focus instead on making itself unique). I used to live there and I do like (and miss) the city, but I love Vancouver for the fact that I can go skiing or to the beach in the same day without leaving the city.

P.S. Might want to watch the spelling. You’re making it easy for people to slam you.

If anyone is ever in the city of Vancouver, B.C I’ve posted some great hiking trails that you MUST do if you are ever in the city!

  4. @LightTheWay2012 saw your comment vancouver and couldenyt agree more its a beautiful city and i am thinking of moving over from uk i wouldent be moving if i dident like it

  5. i hate people who slam vancouver am from uk and think its fantastic and people so friendly

  6. redheadedmovies 21. May, 2010 at 1:15 pm

I am a Torontonian and I hate Vancouver because they make lies about are city when we do nothing but compliment theirs. They claim we think we are NYC and the centre of the universe but no one here talks like that and their are just as many smug stuck up people as in any city.
Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver all have things to be proud of and shouldn’t insult each other. I take back typing “I hate Vancouver” I just hate the way Vancouverites portry Toronto (Chronno)

  7. and it seems to me, the more you have to tell people vancouver is cosmopolitan, the less likely it really is … search “Man Lives in Tree Stump” and it will show you the side of vancouver no one wants to acknowledge or deal with … stanley park, the city jewel, is home to hate crimes and people lacking the means to afford a place of their own so camp in stanley park year round … and not a small number either

  8. the only thing nice about vancouver is the nature and vancouverites had nothing to do with that … the people are not friendly … if it difficult to get around unless you want to sit in traffic for hours … it is polluted … serious homeless problem … serious drug problems … serious gang problems … and the bard on the beach guy is an indication of the pretentious prats that dominate vancouver, other than the poor people who waste their lives trying to afford living there

  9. Did they they ask people from all over what city did they like or some fat commercial think tank said it so to attract more idiot taxpayers to this dump (hush-hush). Established fact– HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You’re consumer of horse shit handed to you, good boy. Vancouver is never rated high among real people who come here– expats, professionals and travelers, just some random city. Of course if you bother to meet some people instead of reading mastercard centres of commerce bs surveys.

  10. you’re a troll, anyway, it’s your words: “Calgary absolutely sucks big time. No Culture, no Art no Diversity, women dress like they’re selling it.” If you want to find it different in vancouver because “Vancouver has been rated the best city in the world to live in 7 year in a row and that’s an established fact.”, you’re also a moron.

@kyle887923 Thanks for enlightening and educating the “Others” on here. I live in Calgary and can’t wait to get the hell out of this hole.

  12. LightTheWay2012 21. May, 2010 at 4:43 pm

@Shukria123 Obviously you didn’t fit in there if you’re referring to every person in Vancouver. maybe it’s you who’s the ignorant prick, think of the comment you just made about over 2million people. Have you actually met every one of those 2 million people and been treated like shit? I think not. Another one who doesn’t think before they speak, what’s this world coming to..

  13. LightTheWay2012 21. May, 2010 at 5:39 pm

@Nickstahl007 You’re right on somethings but not everything, when was the last time you were in Calgary? And the CN Tower is not the tallest free standing structure in the world anymore, it’s the Burge Dubai – 168 stories I believe.

  14. LightTheWay2012 21. May, 2010 at 6:12 pm

Yeah, I love Toronto I grew up there, but I l also love Cape Breton Island N.S where I was born. There’s no work there at all, great place to retire, and if you like coal mining, which is almost dead if it isn’t already, but don’t make even more dumb ass comments like you’ve made here, you just make yourself look really really stupid in the eyes of everyone that reads your remarks.Think before you speak and you’ll appear alot wiser!

  15. LightTheWay2012 21. May, 2010 at 6:48 pm

Please don’t waste my time or bother me with this stupid bullshit. Vancouver has been rated the best city in the world to live in 7 year in a row and that’s an established fact.

  16. LightTheWay2012 21. May, 2010 at 7:43 pm

Man are you ever stupid or smoking some serious weed. Where the hell you been living, under a rock? How a old are you 3? You’re even more stupid than the guy who made that video I commented on. You call Vancouver a wasteland? Where do you live in an alley on the east side next to a methadone clinic.

  17. Vancouver- When it sucks it sucks hard, but when its nice it’s extremely nice.

  18. yeah, and don’t move to vancouver based on these high-def videos and stock photography– these bastards here are good at it, but it has nothing to do with reality of living in vancouver. it would be another mistake, i can guarantee that. this city is highly overhyped and is being sold like a used car to fools all over.

  19. Vancouver is about the same– no culture, no art, no quality people, women suck for the most part, crackheads everywhere, pseudo-everything. yes 9 months of nasty rain instead of sun and snow everywhere else. The only culture and decent people to be found in Canada are in the eastern part. The same stands for the US with rare exceptions. Vancouver or Calgary are about typical north american wastelands where there’s absolutely nothing to do until you want to waste your life away.

  20. LightTheWay2012 21. May, 2010 at 8:53 pm

I live in Calgary and came from Toronto, what a mistake! Calgary absolutely sucks big time. No Culture, no Art no Diversity, women dress like they’re selling it. I live close to downtown and everywhere you look you see cracked sidewalks potholes, broken pavement, deserted rundown lots, garbage strewn all over the place, bus shelter garbage receptacles over flowing, the office towers are ugly,
This is just my opinion but shared by many. Two blizzards in Spring? No Thanks!

  21. @Nickstahl007 ok, toronto is the third most multicultural city in the world
and calgray is deffinitly NOT the cleanist city in the world..downtown yes, but not the rest fo the city

I was expecting bc to have more wildlife than what i saw there. IT seemed very sparsly populated for its size. must be due to over hunting. i saw some wildllife but it wasnt exactly bursting at the seams
